Representatives serve as TAUS' ambassadors in their local markets and regions. They further TAUS' mission to support enterpreneurs and principals in the translation industry to share and define new strategies in order to help the world communicate better.
Representatives work hard at a local level to increase the visibility of the organization, publicize the information and products we create and promote TAUS' activities and initiatives.
Tetsuzo Nakamura is a technical communicator with diverse knowledge and experience both in technical communication and advertising gained over 30 years. He worked for Yamaha, improved its document quality, and now works at Yamagata, one of the largest Japanese multi-language vendors, where he plays a central role in improving English documents. He is also the author of "Technical Writing: 70 Basic Rules in Writing".
South East Asia
Since 2002, Anthony Wong has served as the Senior Consultant of Beijing CCID Group (China Centre for Information Industry Development), a R&D group based in Beijing, specializing in product commercialization and service customization of MT/CAT technology.
From mid-80s to mid-90s, He worked as Systems designer/Architect specializing in products R&D, large Database system applications and Software re-engineering for a number of well-known names in the IT industry including NCR, Nixdorf Computer, Siemens and Software AG in the UK, Germany and Singapore.
Anthony was the Co-founder of the Asian Language Support Centre (ALSC), which specialized in Software re-engineering, Internationalization and Asian Language Localization (1996-1998). He served as the regional Managing Director at LMI (Asia Pacific), later known as Berlitz GlobalNET, from 1998 to 2002.
From 1998 to 2002, Anthony served as a committee member in the Information Technology Standards Committee (iTSC) in Singapore. He serves as mentor and advisor to a number of start-up companies in the region. Since 2004, he has been a mentor serving in the Ascendas – NUS (National University of Singapore) Mentorship Program.
Anthony graduated in the UK in the early 80's with a BSc (Joint Hons) in Computer Science and Statistics, and received a scholarship to read MSc in Operational Research at the University of Strathclyde in 1984.
