The EUATC is an umbrella organization for national associations of translation companies throughout Europe, without being limited to the EU. Among other things, the EUATC provides a united voice for translation companies. It promotes the highest standards of quality and business practice and helps to improve the training of translators across Europe.

Association of Translation Companies (ATC)
The Association of Translation Companies was formed in 1976 by a group of leading translation companies in Britain, making it one of the oldest organizations representing the interests of translation companies in the world.
Over the years the Association has expanded its horizons and attracted members from around the world. For those seeking to source translations, the Association acts as an impartial clearinghouse guiding them to those members most suited to help them.

Associaton of Translation Agencies (ATA)
The ATA's goal is to promote advocacy by uniting Dutch translation agencies, support its members, and improve the quality of the translation industry.
No matter how diverse the members may be, the ATA intends to formulate a joint vision on relevant issues in order to represent the industry as decisively as possible.
Our members assemble twice a year for our general membership meeting, and many members also participate in various committees and project groups. Our members receive a digital newsletter called d'ATA, which discusses the state of affairs in the translation industry.

The mission of AILIA is to promote and increase the competitiveness of the Canadian language industry nationally and internationally through advocacy, accreditation and information sharing.

Translators Association of China (TAC)
The Translators Association of China (TAC) was founded in 1982. As the only association in the field of translation in China, it functions both as an academic society and a trade association.
Made up of institutions, enterprises, associations and individuals engaged in translation, interpretation, localization and terminology, TAC has group, institutional/corporate and individual members across the country and beyond.

Associação Portuguese de Empresas de Tradução (APET)
A non-profit-making business association whose goal is to foster dynamism in the sector and promote quality in translation services, APET is a member of the EUATC, the translation industry’s foremost European forum. APET member companies guarantee the quality of their services by complying with APET’s own standards and by certification under ISO 9001 and/or EN 15038 “Translation Services”. APET was instrumental in the preparation of EN 15038 as Portugal’s representative.

Universiteit van Amsterdam (ILLC)
The Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) is a world-class research institute in the interdisciplinary area between mathematics, linguistics, computer science, philosophy and artificial intelligence, which is rooted in the Amsterdam logic research tradition dating back to the early twentieth century.
TAUS and ILLC work are working together on a number of research projects.
German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI)
In the international scientific community, DFKI is recognized as one of the most important “Centers of Excellence” in the world for its proven ability to rapidly bring leading edge research to commercially relevant application solutions. DFKI was founded in 1988 as a nonprofit organization by several renowned German IT companies and two research facilities. Since then, DFKI has established a reputation for proactive and customer oriented work and is known both nationally and internationally as a competent and reliable partner for commercial innovation.
The University of Edinburgh has led the EuroMatrix and EuroMatrixplus consortiums that develop the open source statistical machine translation toolkit, Moses.
TAUS is working with the University of Edinburgh and others on an EC funed project to educate and promote the use of Moses.
Centre for Next Generation Localisation
The Centre for Next Generation Localisation (CNGL) is a dynamic Academia-Industry partnership with over 100 researchers developing novel technologies addressing the key localization challenges of volume, access and personalization.
Their objective is to produce substantial advances in the basic and applied research underpinning the design, implementation and evaluation of the blueprints for the Next Generation Localisation Factory.
Their mission is to revolutionize localization via breakthroughs in automation, composition and integration.
TAUS has worked with CNGL on a number of projects.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. It is a network of the national standards institutes of 162 countries, one member per country, with a Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland, that coordinates the system.
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) produces globally-applicable standards for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), including fixed, mobile, radio, converged, broadcast and internet technologies.
ETSI is a not-for-profit organization with more than 700 ETSI member organizations drawn from 62 countries across 5 continents world-wide.
OASIS - Advancing open standards for the information society
OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of open standards for the global information society.
OASIS promotes industry consensus and produces worldwide standards for security, Cloud computing, SOA, Web services, the Smart Grid, electronic publishing, emergency management, and other areas. OASIS open standards offer the potential to lower cost, stimulate innovation, grow global markets, and protect the right of free choice of technology.
This group is creating a foundation for improving support on the Web for languages of the European Union and its trade partners, improving the efficiency of processes for creating and localizing content, both by machine translation and more traditional methods, and improving support for multilingual content and data on the Web. TAUS was invited to join to share expertise on translation technologies and strategies.

The Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM) is an interactive and comprehensive resource of management information for information-development and training managers across America and internationally. CIDM's goal is to provide a committed, focused, expert, and progressive forum to support managers in creating high-performance teams that produce effective and appropriate deliverables. TAUS and CIDM have a reciprocal agreement to share knowledge and insights in our areas of expertise.
Consortium for Service Innovation
The Consortium is a non-profit alliance of organizations focused on innovation for customer interaction. CSI and TAUS have seen working together since 2008 to improve and share insights on machine translation in knowledge centered support.
