COMMENTS POLICY

In order to enhance the use of the TAUS website, users can choose to leave comments on particular articles and reports of interest. To leave a comment, users must submit information including a valid email address. TAUS uses this information to screen out users who leave comments prohibited by our comments policy, and will not pass this information to any other organization. Our aim is to ensure that the TAUS community becomes more open and starts acting as a platform for vibrant discussion.

The comment form must be filled in with a proper or legitimate sounding name. An email address is required for commenting and these are not published on the blog and shared with third-parties. They may be used by the administrator and/or the community manager to privately contact the commenter.

Keep it relevant. We know that some conversations can be wide-ranging, but if you post something which is unrelated to the original topic ("off-topic") then it may be removed, in order to keep the thread on track. This also applies to queries or comments about moderation, which should not be posted as comments.

Be aware that you may be misunderstood. So try to be clear about what you are saying, and expect that people may understand your contribution differently than you intended. Remember that text isn't always a great medium for conversation: tone of voice (sarcasm, humour and so on) doesn't always come across when using words on a screen. You can help to keep the TAUS community areas open to all viewpoints by maintaining a reasonable tone, even in unreasonable circumstances.

Remember that by registering with TAUS you have also agreed to our terms and conditions. These guidelines may change from time to time, so please bookmark this page and check back frequently. Our team is empowered to help create and maintain a healthy and positive environment. Above all, we reserve the right to take steps or implement measures which we think will benefit the whole community.

If you have suggestions or questions about any aspect of community participation on TAUS, you can write to info@translationautomation.com
