Motivation
“As a technology provider, we are evolving rapidly. We began with a corpus-based CAT tool solution for translators and we have evolved to a new concept called ‘TextBase TM’. This concept is now at the basis of the multilingual asset management solutions, a space in which we’ve been successful with governments, LSP’s and large enterprises. We aim to eliminate all human effort around alignment, and to open up information users to the context of words and terms. This enables further automation of decision support activities, such as text analytics - and machine translation in the case multilingual information.
We joined TAUS because it offers an ideal forum for discussing the key issue of sharing language resources. We believe that massive document repositories will open up new applications. So we come at the translation question from the document technology angle, and believe we can act as an enabler for the language services industry.“
MultiCorpora’s product MultiTrans combines TextBase TM technology with Terminology Management in a context based workflow that can match text strings of any length. Clients include the most Government of Canada departments, UNESCO, Interpol and large corporations such as RRDonneley.
