Innovation comes from the people doing the work. We are a proactive localization player with respect to industry initiatives, but we also have to be constantly reactive to the changing needs of our clients. We see challenges at each stage of the service process, as our clients seek to embrace larger volumes, tighter turn around times, and new types of business models. Our job is to respond appropriately to these while maintaining our levels of service.
We are naturally looking at ways of achieving productivity gains, and find that there is much innovative thinking coming from different parts of our organization. This is not top-down, rather, innovation comes from the people doing the work. We are trying to manage a process to promote and capture this innovation, and to convert these ideas into measurable components so that we build a rigorous decision path towards future changes. We joined TAUS because we wanted to sustain and grow positive visibility as a member of the community. We also wanted to benchmark ourselves against the competition: are we leading or following in such areas as MT implementation, technology adoption, and internal innovation? And we also want to learn from the collective mind about best practices. This of course involves contributing and not just talking, and we believe this is of benefit to the entire community. We also endorse TAUS's data sharing initiative. As a service provider we do not own or release content, and we realize the importance of respecting copyright issues.
