Jaap van der Meer
TDA is directed by Jaap van der Meer, a language industry pioneer and visionary, who started his first translation company in The Netherlands in 1980. In 1987 his company INK published the first desktop term extraction and translation memory software. He inspired and funded the founding meetings of the LISA organization for the localization industry and he co-founded the SAE TopTec Multilingual Communications Conference for the automotive industry. He was president and CEO of ALPNET. He is also cofounder and partner of Cross Language n.v., a consultancy and system integration company specialized in language technology.
Jaap van der Meer is a member of the Localization World management team, a regular speaker at conferences and author of many articles about technologies and translation and globalization trends.
Donna Parrish
Donna Parrish (technical manager) is co-organizer of Localization World and publisher of MultiLingual Computing & Technology. Prior to her work at MultiLingual Computing, Inc., she was a computer programmer for 25 years. This was preceded by a stint teaching junior high school mathematics. Donna holds a degree in mathematics from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
Yan Yu
Yan Yu (technology reviewer and writer for TAUS) is a software and consulting industry veteran, based in San Francisco. Yan was a senior manager at Idiom Technologies managing the implementation and services for many of the big customers. Before joining Idiom, he was working at Oracle. Yan holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, as well as an M.B.A. degree from Louisiana State University.
Curtis Booker - Infrastructure Manager
Curtis Booker (technical analyst, MultiLingual Computing, Inc.) has more than 25 years' experience in electronics systems, telecommunications technical design (engineering and consulting), and technical support management. He has worked as an engineer in the design team for the telecommunications system at the Denver International Airport and remained with the management team for more than 10 years after system turn-up. Also Curtis has worked more than 12 years as Solaris system administrator and Oracle database administrator, with about three years working with programmers developing software specifications and functionality testing.
